I provide evidence-based, relationally informed treatment for alcohol and substance use concerns, as well as recovery support. Support may be provided individually or within marriage and couples therapy, depending on each individual’s needs and goals.
Substance use concerns are often less about willpower and more about coping with trauma, stress, and disconnection. Therapy is offered in a compassionate, non-judgmental space where honesty is possible and change can unfold at your pace. Services are provided primarily to individuals and, when clinically appropriate, substance use concerns may also be integrated into couples or marriage therapy to support relational healing and long-term stability.
Areas of Support
- Early Recovery Support
- Support for individuals who are newly sober, sober curious, early stages of sobriety or questioning their relationship with alcohol or other substances.
- Sustained Recovery & Ongoing Support
- Support for individuals focused on long term wellness, emotional regulation, and meaning beyond recovery.
Recovery Within Marriage & Couples Therapy
When appropriate, recovery work may be integrated into couples or marriage therapy to support trust, communication, and emotional safety.
Process Addictions and Compulsive
Process Addictions and compulsive behaviors are addressed with care and intention within both individual and couples therapy, supporting movement toward a more meaningful, balanced, and values- aligned life and relationship.
Some patterns that once offered comfort, relief or distraction can gradually become difficult to control. These behaviors-often called process addictions-do not involve substances , but can still have a powerful impact on emotional well being, relationships, and daily functions.
Examples:
- Gambling
- Pornography or compulsive sexual behaviors
- Internet or gaming overuse
- Shopping or spending compulsions
- Social media overuse
- Work or achievement compulsivity
- Food- related compulsive behaviors
Trauma & Co-Occurring Concerns
Substance use often overlaps with trauma, anxiety, depression, relational stress, burnout, or major life transitions. Therapy focuses on the whole context, not substance use in isolation.
Telehealth & In-Office Availability
